How to Cancel Disney+

·9 min read

Step-by-step instructions to cancel your Disney+ subscription on the web, iOS, Android, Roku, and Amazon. Takes about 5 minutes.

Cancel Disney+ in about 5 minutes. Pick the method that matches how you originally subscribed.

On DisneyPlus.com

The fastest way to cancel Disney+ is directly through their website. You can cancel anytime, and your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period.

1Go to DisneyPlus.com
Open your web browser and navigate to disneyplus.com. You can use any desktop or mobile browser.
2Sign In to Your Account
Click Log In in the top right corner and enter your email address and password. If you use a bundled login (such as through Hulu), sign in with those credentials instead.
3Open Your Account Settings
Click your profile icon in the top right corner of the screen. From the dropdown menu, select Account to open your account settings page.
4Select Your Subscription
On the Account page, find the Subscription section. Click on your active Disney+ plan to view your subscription details and billing information.
5Click Cancel Subscription
Click Cancel Subscription. Disney+ may present you with a discounted offer or suggest pausing your subscription instead — skip these if you want to cancel entirely.
6Confirm Your Cancellation
Select a reason for canceling when prompted, then click Continue to Cancel and confirm your choice. You will receive a confirmation email, and you can continue watching until your current billing period ends.
These steps apply if you subscribed directly through Disney+. If you signed up through a third party (Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, or a cable provider), you must cancel through that platform instead. Check your email receipts or bank statement to confirm how you were billed.

On the App Store (iOS)

If you subscribed to Disney+ through the App Store and are billed via your Apple ID, you need to cancel through Apple's subscription settings. You cannot cancel an Apple-billed subscription from the Disney+ app or website.

1Open iPhone Settings
Tap the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. This is the gray gear icon on your home screen.
2Tap Your Apple ID
At the very top of the Settings menu, tap your name and Apple ID banner to access your Apple ID account management.
3Select Subscriptions
Tap Subscriptions from the list of options. You will see all active and expired subscriptions tied to your Apple ID.
4Select Disney+
Find and tap Disney+ from your list of active subscriptions. If Disney+ is not listed here, your subscription is billed through a different method.
5Cancel the Subscription
Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen and confirm when prompted. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.
You can also manage Apple subscriptions on a Mac by opening the App Store, clicking your name in the bottom left, then selecting Account Settings and Subscriptions. On older iOS versions, go to Settings, then iTunes & App Store, then tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions.

On Google Play (Android)

If you subscribed to Disney+ through the Google Play Store on an Android device, you must cancel through Google Play. Canceling inside the Disney+ app will not stop Google Play billing.

1Open Google Play Store
Launch the Google Play Store app on your Android device. You can also visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions in a web browser.
2Access Your Profile
Tap your profile icon in the top right corner of the Play Store to open the account menu.
3Go to Payments & Subscriptions
Select Payments & subscriptions from the menu, then tap Subscriptions. You will see all your active Google Play subscriptions listed.
4Select Disney+
Find and tap Disney+ from your subscriptions list. If Disney+ does not appear, your subscription is billed through a different provider.
5Cancel Your Subscription
Tap Cancel subscription and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm. Your access continues until your current billing cycle ends, and you will not be charged again.
If you subscribed through a mobile carrier or promotional bundle, canceling through Google Play will not work. Contact your carrier or bundle provider directly to cancel.

On Roku

If you subscribed to Disney+ through your Roku device and are billed by Roku, you need to cancel through Roku's account settings.

1Cancel from Roku Remote
Press the Home button on your Roku remote. Navigate to the Disney+ tile on your home screen, then press the asterisk (*) button on your remote to open the options menu.
2Manage Your Subscription
Select Manage Subscription from the options menu. This will display your Disney+ subscription details and billing information.
3Cancel Subscription
Select Cancel Subscription and confirm when prompted. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.
You can also cancel by visiting my.roku.com in a web browser, signing in, and navigating to Manage Subscriptions. If Disney+ does not appear in your Roku subscriptions, you subscribed through a different platform.

On Amazon (Fire TV)

If you subscribed to Disney+ through an Amazon Fire TV device or Fire Tablet, Amazon handles your billing and you must cancel through your Amazon account.

1Go to Amazon Subscriptions
Open a web browser and navigate to amazon.com/appstoresubscriptions. Sign in with the Amazon account linked to your Fire TV device.
2Find Disney+
Locate Disney+ in your list of app subscriptions. Click on the subscription to view its details.
3Cancel Your Subscription
Click Turn off auto-renewal or Cancel Subscription, then confirm your choice. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
You can also manage Amazon subscriptions from the Amazon app on your phone. Go to Account, then Memberships & Subscriptions, and find Disney+ in the list.

Disney+ Refund Policy

Disney+ generally does not offer refunds for partial billing periods. When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the current billing cycle — you are not charged again, but you do not receive a prorated refund for unused days.

However, Disney+ may issue refunds in limited cases:

  • In the US, you can request a refund within 3 days of purchase if you have not streamed any content.
  • In the UK and EU, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase under the cooling-off period, provided you have not started streaming.
  • If you were charged after successfully canceling, contact Disney+ support with your cancellation confirmation.
  • If your account was charged without authorization, report it through the Disney+ Help Center or dispute the charge with your bank.

To request a refund, contact Disney+ directly via Live Chat or by calling (888) 905-7888. There is no self-service refund option in your account settings. If you subscribed through Apple, Google Play, Roku, or Amazon, the refund policies of those platforms apply instead.
