The fastest way to cancel Hulu is directly through their website. This method works if Hulu bills you directly rather than through a third-party platform.
1Go to Hulu Website
Open your web browser and navigate to hulu.com. Sign in with the email and password associated with your Hulu account.
2Open Your Account Page
Click your profile icon in the top right corner of the screen. Select Account from the dropdown menu to view your subscription details.
3Click Cancel Your Subscription
On the Account page, locate the Your Subscription section. Click the Cancel Your Subscription link beneath your current plan details.
4Decline Retention Offers
Hulu may present offers to pause your subscription or switch to a cheaper plan. If you want to fully cancel, select Continue to Cancel to move past these screens.
5Confirm Your Cancellation
Review the cancellation summary showing when your access will end. Click Cancel Subscription to finalize the process. You will receive a confirmation email and can continue streaming until the end of your current billing period.
If the cancel option is grayed out or missing, your subscription is likely billed through a third party. Check the Payment Information section on your Account page to see who handles your billing, then follow the matching method below.
On the App Store (iOS)
If you subscribed to Hulu through Apple, you must cancel through your Apple ID settings. The Hulu app and website cannot process the cancellation for Apple-billed accounts.
1Open iPhone Settings
Tap the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. This is the gray gear icon on your home screen.
2Tap Your Apple ID
At the very top of the Settings menu, tap your name and Apple ID banner. This takes you to your Apple ID account management screen.
3Select Subscriptions
Tap Subscriptions from the list of options. You will see all active and expired subscriptions linked to your Apple ID.
4Select Hulu
Find and tap Hulu from your list of active subscriptions. If Hulu is not listed here, your subscription is billed through a different platform.
5Cancel the Subscription
Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen, then confirm when prompted. Your Hulu access continues until the end of your current billing period.
Apple's subscription management interface may vary between iOS versions. These steps apply to iOS 16 and later. For older versions, go to Settings, then iTunes & App Store, then tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions.
On Google Play (Android)
If you signed up for Hulu through the Google Play Store, you need to cancel through Google Play rather than the Hulu app or website.
Tap your profile icon in the top right corner of the Play Store. This opens a menu with account options.
3Go to Payments & Subscriptions
Select Payments & subscriptions from the menu, then tap Subscriptions. You will see all active subscriptions billed through Google Play.
4Select Hulu
Find and tap Hulu from your subscriptions list. If Hulu is not listed, your billing is handled by a different platform.
5Cancel Your Subscription
Tap Cancel subscription and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm. Your access continues until the end of your current billing cycle.
If you subscribed through a mobile carrier or third-party billing, canceling through Google Play will not work. Check your Hulu Account page to confirm your billing source.
On Roku
If Roku handles your Hulu billing, you need to cancel through your Roku account. You can do this from a Roku device or through the Roku website.
1Visit Roku Website
Open a web browser and go to my.roku.com. Sign in with the email and password tied to your Roku account.
2Access Manage Subscriptions
Once logged in, click Manage your subscriptions or navigate to the subscriptions section. All services billed through your Roku account are listed here.
3Cancel Hulu
Locate Hulu in your subscription list and click Cancel subscription. Confirm the cancellation when prompted. Your access remains active until the end of your billing period.
You can also cancel from your Roku device. On the Home screen, highlight the Hulu app, press the star (*) button on your remote, select Manage subscription, then Cancel subscription.
On Amazon
If you subscribed to Hulu as an Amazon channel or through Amazon billing, cancel through your Amazon account.
Locate Hulu in your list of active subscriptions. Click the Actions button next to it.
3Cancel Subscription
Select Cancel Subscription from the actions menu and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm. Your Hulu access continues through the end of your current billing period.
After canceling through Amazon, your Hulu account still exists. If you want to resubscribe later, you can sign up directly through Hulu instead of going through Amazon again.
Through the Disney Bundle
If you have the Disney Bundle (Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+), Hulu cannot be canceled separately. You must cancel the entire bundle through your Disney+ account.
1Go to Disney+ Account Settings
Open a web browser and navigate to disneyplus.com/account. Sign in with the credentials you use for the Disney Bundle.
2Select Your Subscription
On the Account page, find your Disney Bundle subscription under the Subscription section. Click on it to view the details.
3Cancel the Bundle
Click Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts to confirm. This cancels all three services — Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ — at the end of your current billing period.
If you want to keep Disney+ or ESPN+ but drop Hulu, cancel the bundle first, then resubscribe to the individual services you want to keep. You can also contact Hulu support to ask about your options.
Hulu Refund Policy
Hulu does not offer refunds or credits for partially used billing periods. When you cancel, your access continues through the end of the current cycle, but you will not receive a prorated refund for unused days.
However, refunds may be possible in certain situations:
If you were overcharged or billed incorrectly, you have 30 days from the charge date to request a refund by contacting Hulu support.
If your account was charged without your authorization, report it through the Hulu Help Center or dispute the charge with your bank.
Hulu customer service representatives may issue goodwill refunds at their discretion, particularly for first-time requests or clear billing errors.
