The most common way to cancel Adobe Creative Cloud is directly through the Adobe website. If you are on an annual plan and cancel after the first 14 days, you will be charged an early termination fee of 50% of your remaining contract balance.
1Go to Adobe Account
Open your web browser and navigate to account.adobe.com/plans. This is the direct link to your plans and subscriptions page.
2Sign In
Sign in with your Adobe ID (email address) and password. If you have multiple accounts, make sure you sign in with the one tied to your Creative Cloud subscription.
3Select Manage Plan
Find the Creative Cloud plan you want to cancel and click Manage plan. If you have multiple Adobe subscriptions (such as Photography Plan and a single-app plan), each one must be canceled separately.
4Click Cancel Your Plan
Scroll to the End your service section and click Cancel your plan. Adobe may offer you a discounted rate or a plan switch to keep you subscribed — decline these if you want to fully cancel.
5Review and Continue
Review your plan details. Adobe will display any applicable early termination fee here. Read the amount carefully, then click Continue to cancel.
6Choose a Reason
Select a cancellation reason from the dropdown list. Adobe may present retention offers based on your reason — skip past these if you want to proceed.
7Confirm Cancellation
Verify the final cancellation details, including the date your access ends and any fee you will be charged. Click Confirm cancellation to complete the process. Check your email for a confirmation from Adobe.
If you are on an annual plan paid monthly, canceling after the first 14 days triggers an early termination fee equal to 50% of your remaining contract balance. For example, if you pay $69.99/month and cancel in month 6, you owe 50% of the remaining 6 months — roughly $210. Read the Refund Policy section below for details on how to minimize or avoid this fee.
You cannot cancel while Adobe is processing a payment. If you see an error, wait 24 hours and try again. These steps reflect the Adobe website as of the last update. If you can't find a specific option, visit the Adobe Help Center for current instructions.
On the App Store (iOS)
If you subscribed to Adobe Creative Cloud through Apple's App Store, you must cancel through Apple's subscription settings — not through Adobe directly.
1Open iPhone Settings
Tap the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad home screen.
2Tap Your Apple ID
At the very top of the Settings menu, tap your name and Apple ID banner to open your Apple ID account management screen.
3Select Subscriptions
Tap Subscriptions from the list. You will see all active and expired subscriptions linked to your Apple ID.
4Select Adobe Creative Cloud
Find and tap Adobe Creative Cloud from your list of active subscriptions. If you do not see it listed, your subscription is not billed through Apple.
5Cancel the Subscription
Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen, then confirm when prompted. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.
If you subscribed through Apple, Apple's refund policy applies instead of Adobe's. Early termination fees do not apply to App Store subscriptions. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
On Google Play (Android)
If you subscribed through the Google Play Store, cancel through Google's subscription management.
Tap your profile icon in the top right corner of the Play Store to open the account menu.
3Go to Payments & Subscriptions
Select Payments & subscriptions from the menu, then tap Subscriptions. You will see a list of all your active Google Play subscriptions.
4Select Adobe Creative Cloud
Find and tap Adobe Creative Cloud from the list. If it is not listed here, your subscription is billed directly through Adobe.
5Cancel Your Subscription
Tap Cancel subscription and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm. Your access continues until the current billing cycle ends.
Google Play subscriptions follow Google's refund policy. Early termination fees do not apply to subscriptions purchased through Google Play. To request a refund, visit Google Play Help.
Adobe Refund Policy
Adobe's refund and cancellation fee policy depends on which plan type you have:
Annual plan, paid monthly: You can cancel within 14 days of your initial purchase for a full refund with no penalty. After 14 days, Adobe charges an early termination fee equal to 50% of the remaining months on your contract. For example, if your plan costs $69.99/month and you cancel in month 3 with 9 months remaining, the fee would be approximately $315 (50% of 9 months at $69.99).
Annual plan, prepaid: If you paid for the full year upfront, you can cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, no refund is issued for the remaining months since the discounted annual pricing does not allow for partial reimbursement.
Month-to-month plan: You can cancel at any time with no early termination fee. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refund is given for the remaining days in your current month.
If you believe the early termination fee is too high, you can contact Adobe support at (800) 585-0774 or through Adobe's live chat. Support agents have the authority to waive or reduce the fee in certain situations, particularly for financial hardship or long-standing accounts. You can also consider switching to a cheaper plan instead of canceling, which restarts your 12-month commitment but avoids the termination fee entirely.
