How to Cancel Blue Apron

·7 min read

Step-by-step guide to cancel your Blue Apron meal kit subscription on the website. Learn the skip vs cancel difference and avoid unwanted charges.

Cancel your Blue Apron meal kit subscription in about 10 minutes. Blue Apron requires you to cancel through their website, and the process involves several confirmation screens designed to retain you. Follow the steps below to make sure your account is fully canceled — not just skipped or paused.

Canceling through the Blue Apron website is the only reliable way to end your subscription. The Blue Apron mobile app does not provide a cancel option, so you need to use a desktop or mobile web browser. A desktop computer is recommended because the mobile website can make certain links harder to find.

1Sign In to Blue Apron
Open your web browser and go to blueapron.com. Click Sign In in the top right corner and enter the email address and password associated with your account.
2Open Your Account Settings
Once signed in, click the user icon or your name in the top right corner of the page. Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu. This takes you to your account overview.
3Go to Plan Settings
On the Account Settings page, find the Plan Settings section. This shows your current meal plan, number of servings, and delivery schedule. Click the Edit button next to your plan details.
4Select Cancel Plan
Scroll to the bottom of the Plan Settings page. Look for the Cancel Plan or Pause/Cancel Subscription link. It may be in smaller text beneath other plan options. Click it to begin the cancellation flow.
5Choose Cancel Over Pause
Blue Apron will present several alternatives before letting you cancel. You may see options to pause your deliveries for 4, 6, 8, or 10 weeks, or to switch to a different plan. If your goal is to fully cancel, look for the option labeled Cancel Subscription and select it rather than choosing a pause period.
6Complete the Cancellation Survey
Blue Apron will ask you to fill out a short survey about why you are leaving. Select a reason, then click through the final confirmation screen. Once your subscription is canceled, you should receive a confirmation email. Check your Account Settings to verify that your plan status shows Canceled.
"Skip" is not the same as "Cancel." Many Blue Apron customers think they have canceled when they have only skipped upcoming deliveries. Skipping pauses individual weeks but keeps your subscription active, meaning you will be charged again once the skipped weeks pass. Always verify your plan status in Account Settings to confirm it reads "Canceled."
You must cancel before your weekly cutoff to avoid being charged for the next delivery. The deadline is typically five days before your scheduled delivery date. Check the "Changeable Before" date on your Upcoming page. Any order marked as "Processing" or "Shipped" cannot be canceled, and you will be responsible for those charges.

Blue Apron Refund Policy

Blue Apron does not offer refunds for orders that have already been processed or shipped. Once an order shows a status of "Processing" or "Shipped" on your Upcoming page, you will be charged for it regardless of whether you cancel your subscription.

However, Blue Apron does have a satisfaction guarantee for quality issues:

  • If you receive a damaged, missing, or incorrect item, contact Blue Apron Support within 7 days of your delivery date. They will typically issue a refund or account credit.
  • Refunds for quality issues are generally processed within 5 to 7 business days.
  • You can reach customer service by phone at (888) 278-4349, by text at (929) 799-8354, or by email at contact@blueapron.com. Support hours are 9 AM to 9 PM ET Monday through Friday and 11 AM to 6 PM ET on Saturday.

If you were charged after you believed you had canceled, contact customer service immediately with your cancellation confirmation email as evidence. Blue Apron support may issue a goodwill refund at their discretion.
