How to Cancel Noom

·11 min read

Step-by-step guide to cancel your Noom subscription or free trial via the app, website, iOS App Store, or Google Play.

Cancel your Noom subscription in about 10 minutes. Noom is known for aggressive retention tactics, so be prepared to decline multiple offers before reaching the final cancellation screen. Pick the method that matches how you originally subscribed.

Uninstalling the Noom app does not cancel your subscription. You will continue to be charged until you explicitly cancel through one of the methods below. Noom auto-renews at the end of every billing cycle, and free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions if not canceled in time.

On Noom.com (Subscription Portal)

The most straightforward way to cancel Noom is through the web-based Subscription Portal. This method works if Noom bills you directly rather than through Apple or Google.

1Go to the Subscription Portal
Open your web browser and navigate to account.noom.com. This is Noom's dedicated portal for managing your subscription.
2Sign In
Log in with the email address and password associated with your Noom account. If you have forgotten your password, use the password reset option on the login page.
3View Subscription Details
Once signed in, you will see your current plan, billing cycle, and next renewal date on the main page.
4Click Cancel Subscription
Click the Cancel Subscription button. Noom will likely present you with retention offers such as a discounted rate, a plan pause, or a free coaching session. Decline these offers if you want to fully cancel.
5Complete the Cancellation Flow
Follow the remaining on-screen prompts. You may need to select a cancellation reason and confirm your decision on multiple screens. Keep clicking through until you receive a confirmation message.
6Check for Confirmation
Look for a cancellation confirmation email from Noom. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again.
If you originally signed up through the iOS App Store or Google Play Store, the Subscription Portal may not show a cancel option. In that case, use the App Store or Google Play method below instead.

In the Noom App

You can also cancel directly from within the Noom mobile app. This method works on both iOS and Android.

1Open the Noom App
Launch the Noom app on your phone and sign in if prompted.
2Access Your Profile
Tap your profile picture in the top-left corner of the screen to open the profile menu.
3Open Settings
Tap Settings from the profile menu to access your account and subscription options.
4Tap Manage Subscription
Select Manage Subscription to view your current plan details, billing cycle, and renewal date.
5Follow the Cancellation Prompts
Tap the option to cancel and follow the on-screen steps. Noom may show retention offers such as discounted pricing or a plan switch. Decline all offers if you want to proceed with cancellation.
6Confirm and Verify
Complete the cancellation and check your email for a confirmation message. Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period.
Noom's in-app cancellation flow is known for presenting multiple retention screens. You may see offers for discounted rates, free weeks, or coaching upgrades. Be persistent — keep declining until you reach the final confirmation screen. If the flow redirects you to your device's app store settings, your subscription is billed through Apple or Google and must be canceled there.

On the App Store (iOS)

If you subscribed to Noom through Apple's App Store, you must cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings. Canceling in the Noom app or on the Noom website will not work for App Store subscriptions.

1Open iPhone Settings
Tap the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad home screen.
2Tap Your Apple ID
At the very top of the Settings menu, tap your name and Apple ID banner to open your Apple ID account management screen.
3Select Subscriptions
Tap Subscriptions from the list. You will see all active and expired subscriptions linked to your Apple ID.
4Select Noom
Find and tap Noom from your list of active subscriptions. If Noom is not listed here, your subscription is billed directly by Noom or through Google Play.
5Cancel the Subscription
Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen, then confirm when prompted. Your Noom access continues until the end of your current billing period.
If you subscribed through Apple, Apple's refund policy applies instead of Noom's. To request a refund for an App Store purchase, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

On Google Play (Android)

If you subscribed to Noom through the Google Play Store, you need to cancel through Google Play rather than the Noom app or website.

1Open Google Play Store
Launch the Google Play Store app on your Android device. You can also visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions in a web browser.
2Access Your Profile
Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner of the Play Store to open the account menu.
3Go to Payments & Subscriptions
Select Payments & subscriptions from the menu, then tap Subscriptions. You will see all active subscriptions billed through Google Play.
4Select Noom
Find and tap Noom from your subscriptions list. If Noom is not listed, your billing is handled directly by Noom.
5Cancel Your Subscription
Tap Cancel subscription and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm. Your access continues until the end of your current billing cycle.
Google Play subscriptions follow Google's refund policy. To request a refund for a Google Play purchase, visit Google Play Help.

Via PayPal

If you used PayPal to pay for Noom, you can also stop future payments by canceling the billing agreement in PayPal. This prevents Noom from charging you, though you should also cancel through Noom directly to close your subscription cleanly.

1Log In to PayPal
Go to paypal.com and sign in to your account.
2Open Payment Settings
Click the gear icon to open Settings, then select Payments. Click Manage automatic payments (also called "Manage pre-approved payments").
3Find and Cancel Noom
Locate Noom in your list of automatic payments. Click on it, then click Cancel to stop future billing. Confirm when prompted.
Canceling through PayPal stops future charges but does not formally cancel your Noom account. You should also cancel through the Noom Subscription Portal or app to ensure your account is fully closed.

Free Trial and Auto-Renewal

Noom offers a 14-day trial period that typically uses a "pay-what-you-can" model, charging anywhere from $0.50 to $18.37 upfront. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan and you are charged the full subscription rate.

Key details about Noom's billing:

  • Cancellation deadline: You must cancel your subscription before 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on the day before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the next period.
  • Auto-renewal: All Noom plans (Weight, Med, and Mood) auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle. Your subscription renews for the same duration you originally selected (for example, a 4-month plan renews every 4 months).
  • Pricing varies by commitment: Noom Weight costs approximately $42 per month on a 4-month plan or about $17 per month on a 12-month plan. Noom Med plans range from $69 to $199 per month depending on the program.
  • No pause option: Noom does not offer the ability to pause your subscription. Your only options are to remain subscribed or cancel entirely.
Do not wait until the last minute to cancel. Process your cancellation at least a few days before your renewal date to account for any technical delays. If you are on a free trial, set a calendar reminder a day or two before the trial ends so you do not forget.

Noom Refund Policy

Noom's refund policy is limited and depends on when you request it:

Within 14 days of your first charge: You may be eligible for a refund on your initial subscription charge if you contact Noom support within 14 days of your first payment. This applies to Noom Weight subscriptions and add-on purchases.

After 14 days: Refunds are generally not available for charges older than 14 days. Renewal charges are non-refundable.

Noom Med: Refunds may be available within 14 days of your charge, but only if a prescription has not already been written. Once a clinician writes a prescription, refunds are no longer possible.

California residents: Under California law, you may cancel your agreement without penalty or obligation at any time before midnight of the third business day following your purchase date, excluding Sundays and holidays.

App Store and Google Play: If you subscribed through Apple or Google, those platforms' refund policies apply. Contact Apple Support or Google Play Help directly.

To request a refund, email support@noom.com or contact Noom through their in-app support chat. Include your account email, the date of the charge, and a clear request for a refund.
