How to Cancel Apple Music

In iOS Settings (iPhone & iPad)

The quickest way to cancel Apple Music if you subscribed through Apple. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period.

1Open Settings
Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. It is the gray gear icon on your home screen.
2Tap Your Name
At the top of the Settings menu, tap your name to open your Apple Account page. This is where all account-level settings live.
3Tap Subscriptions
Select Subscriptions from the list. You will see every active and expired subscription linked to your Apple Account.
4Select Apple Music
Find Apple Music in the active subscriptions list and tap it. This opens the subscription detail screen showing your plan, price, and renewal date.
5Tap Cancel Subscription
Tap Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the screen and confirm when prompted. If you do not see a cancel button or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already canceled.
If you signed up for a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged. Once canceled, your access continues until the trial expiration date.

On Mac

If you manage your subscriptions through the Mac App Store, you can cancel Apple Music directly from your computer.

1Open the App Store
Launch the App Store on your Mac from the Dock or Applications folder.
2Click Your Name
In the bottom-left corner of the App Store window, click your name. If you are not signed in, click Sign In and enter your Apple Account credentials.
3Open Account Settings
Click Account Settings at the top of the page. You may be asked to authenticate with your password or Touch ID.
4Go to Subscriptions
Scroll down to the Subscriptions section and click Manage. This displays all subscriptions tied to your Apple Account.
5Cancel Apple Music
Find Apple Music and click Edit next to it. Click Cancel Subscription and confirm. You may need to scroll down to see the cancel option.
You can also manage subscriptions on Mac by visiting account.apple.com in Safari or any browser and navigating to Subscriptions.

On Android

The cancellation method on Android depends on how you were billed. If Apple bills you directly, cancel through the Apple Music app. If you subscribed through Google Play, cancel through Google Play instead.

1Open Apple Music
Launch the Apple Music app on your Android device. Tap the Listen Now tab at the bottom of the screen.
2Open Account Settings
Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner and select Account. This opens your Apple Music account details.
3Manage Your Subscription
Tap Manage Subscription. If you are billed by Apple, you will see your plan details and a cancel option here.
4Cancel the Subscription
Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm. Your Apple Music access continues until the end of your current billing cycle.
If you subscribed through Google Play, Apple Music cannot process the cancellation. Open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Apple Music, and tap Cancel subscription.

On the Web (music.apple.com)

You can cancel Apple Music from any browser without needing an Apple device. This works on Windows, Linux, or Chromebook.

1Go to Apple Music
Open your browser and navigate to music.apple.com. Click Sign In at the top of the page if you are not already signed in.
2Open Your Account
Click the Account icon in the top-right corner of the page. It looks like a small profile silhouette or your initials.
3Go to Settings
Select Settings from the dropdown menu. This opens your Apple Music account settings page.
4Manage Subscriptions
Scroll down to the Subscriptions section and click Manage. You will see your current Apple Music plan and billing details.
5Cancel Your Subscription
Click Cancel Subscription and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm. You will retain access to Apple Music until the end of your current billing period.
You can also cancel at account.apple.com by signing in, navigating to Subscriptions, selecting Apple Music, and clicking Cancel Subscription.

Apple Music Refund Policy

Apple does not provide prorated refunds when you cancel Apple Music mid-billing period. Your access continues until the end of the current cycle, but you will not receive money back for the remaining days. This applies to both monthly and annual plans.

If you believe you were charged in error or want to request a refund for another reason, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, select "I'd like to request a refund," choose your reason, and find the Apple Music charge. Apple typically reviews refund requests within 24 to 48 hours. Requests submitted within 90 days of the charge have the best chance of approval.

If your Apple Music subscription was billed through Google Play, Apple cannot process the refund. You must submit your request through Google Play Help instead.
