No. Your streak, XP, and learning progress are preserved after canceling. You just lose access to Super features like unlimited hearts and no ads.

What is the difference between Super and Plus?

Duolingo rebranded Plus to Super. They are the same subscription. If you see either name, the cancellation steps are identical.

Can I still use Duolingo for free?

Yes. The free tier includes all courses and lessons. You will see ads and have limited hearts, but all learning content remains accessible.

If you subscribed directly through Duolingo's website, cancel from your account settings.

1Open Duolingo Settings

Go to duolingo.com and click your profile icon, then select Settings.

2Go to Subscription

Click the Subscription tab to see your current plan and billing details.

3Cancel Your Plan

Click Cancel subscription and follow the prompts to confirm. Your Super features stay active until the end of your billing period.

On the App Store (iOS)

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, cancel through Apple's settings.

Tap Settings on your iPhone, then tap your name at the top to open your Apple ID.

2Go to Subscriptions

Tap Subscriptions to see all your active subscriptions.

3Cancel Duolingo
